Summer Bug Detectives
Our Summer Bug Detectives will provide a chance for kids to get close to the little things that scurry in the park! Our on-site ecologist will be on hand to guide the minibeast fans in your life to find the species that live in our natural habitats, and learn all about their adaptations. 11am-12pm (and additional times in August) on dates below. Price is €5 per child, suitable for ages 5-12.

‘We’re incredibly lucky to have the natural and historical resources of the park to present to the public,’ said Cian, the park’s Education Manager. ‘Castlecomer has not only a great variety of natural resources, but also the connections to the world of palaeontology through the prehistoric creatures discovered during the 19th century. We’ll be emphasising this rich biological heritage in all our events this summer.’
