WHAT IS BIOBLITZ?
Bioblitz is a fun effort to record all species living/growing within the Castlecomer area including wild, naturalised, and feral species, but does not include domesticated animals or species held in captivity. Plants growing within formal gardens or planted in flower beds are not accepted. Anyone can be involved, whether you’re a trained scientist or an interested amateur. Families are welcome to join in for as long as they like, parents/guardians must accompany children at all events. Outdoor clothing essential – be ready for mucky feet, rain or sun!
WHEN IS IT?
Castlecomer Discovery Park will be running a range of family-friendly nature-themed events from 3pm until late on August 19th and from early until 3pm on August 20th during the Bioblitz. Events are free (not including parking fee).
