Coming This Summer

We are delighted to be launching a new activity for our visitors, Kayaking.

Located on our lower lake, this is an area of stunning natural beauty and previously inaccessible to the public. It is perfect for those interested in trying out kayaking for the first time or those who are looking to do something fun and active to do during their visit to the park. Our kayaks are sit on as opposed to covered and are easy to navigate for the inexperienced.

We have two offerings at the park Instructor; Led Sessions and Kayak Rental Sessions:

Instructor led Session – these will be run by a qualified Kayaking Instructor over two hours.

Sessions are a fun as well as giving participants lessons on skills and techniques on how to operate a kayak safely and effectively.

Equipment – Buoyancy Aids, Paddles, Helmets, Kayak (Provided)

Equipment required – Spare Clothes & Footwear, Towel, thermal top

Kayak Rental Session

Kayak Rental is in 30 minutes slots where participants are given basic instruction on how to use the kayak, and how to enjoy a leisurely paddle in our peaceful lake.

Kayaking is available Thursday to Sunday 12.00 to 16.30

Equipment – Buoyancy Aids, Paddles, Helmets, Kayak.

Single Kayak Hire €12 – 30 minute slot

Double Kayak Hire (2 persons) €14  – 30 minute slot

From Age 7 upwards, 7 – 12 year old must be accompanied by an adult
